Children's Plays - Sensational Creation

This play is made with flexibility and ease in mind.  The format has 6 speakers and the rest of the children involved use fun pantomimes to help tell the story of creation from Genesis all while tying it to our own creativity!

This production requires no props, can work with any amount of actors in a very wide age range, and requires minimum line memorization.  It includes children who are very outgoing and don't mind speaking in front of groups as well as shyer children who will feel more comfortable working in a group setting. 

When you purchase this play you receive the play itself plus a teacher's copy that includes suggested pantomimes.

The text is fun and an engaging way to tell the creation story to children and will keep parents engaged and enjoying the performance as well.  

The play can be performed in about 5 minutes which makes it perfect for church services, VBS, variety shows and more.  Plus it is a great way to introduce children into the world of theater in a way that is non-threatening.

Excerpt: 

You see, it all started on a night very different than this one, because there wasn't such a thing as night yet.

(Children turn to look at speaker, hands on hips.)

But, I'm getting ahead of myself. Everything was a big mess! There was just this nothingness.

(Children gather at center stage and get onto the ground, laying haphazardly)

Then God came in and said "Let there be light!"

(Children stand quickly, half of them put their hands in the air and other half keep them at their sides.)

and there it was. Light! There hadn't been light before, God just made it up.

(Children separate into 2 groups, those with hands in the air move to stage right and those with their hands at their sides move to stage left.)

Then he separated out the light from the darkness and made night and day. But that was only the beginning!

(Children move back to center stage into 2 lines with their hands at their sides.)
