Christmas Plays - A True Story
A True Story is a Christmas Play designed for churches or Christian groups that can't spent a lot of money but want to put on something meaningful during the Christmas season.
This presentation uses minimal sets and costuming. It features a cast of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) with choir sections for any size choir. If you want to use this as a Children's production, the choir can be made entirely of children, if you want something with a wider age range, you can utilize any members for the choir. You can even use this presentation as a format for a Christmas Eve service and invite your congregation to join you during the music breaks.
This play requires no special music, all of the songs are traditional Christmas carols which can be played by your band.
The entire play can be performed in approximately 22 minutes depending on the length of the songs.
Story:
Mark and Sophie have been dropped off at their Grandfather's house so that their mother can do a little bit of Christmas shopping. While there, Grandpa entertains them with the true story of Christmas.
